My product work has evolved over 10+ years. I started with CRM, HR and payroll at Zoho, then led products across payments, APIs and integrations, marketplaces and, lately, AI agents. I led a marketplace launch that doubled sales from $7M to $14M in a year, worked on issuer and acquirer platforms at Mastercard, and co-founded three AI products, including Edkwery. I own outcomes end to end: strategy, roadmap, cross-functional teams, go-to-market and revenue. Today I prototype and test ideas with real users within days, then scale them with the team.
Teams, revenue and standards I have owned, with the numbers behind each.
At ICIGAI I ran Chearful, TheTutor.me and Edkwery as one portfolio: shared engineering and design, one weekly prioritisation call, one set of metrics. Chearful doubled conversion in three months, TheTutor.me grew bookings 35% in a month, Edkwery cut institutions' acquisition cost by 35%.
Hired and led the engineering team at TheTutor.me, and the designers and engineers at ICIGAI who built Chearful, Edkwery and eight client products.
Ran squads across product, data science, engineering and go-to-market on the same KPIs, which cut cycle time by a fifth.
Pricing and the launch that doubled Souqalmal's sales in a year; three Chearful verticals that grew to 37% of ARR; paid pilots before anything ships at Sizu AI.
Two PMs, designers, analysts and engineering leads reporting to me at ICIGAI; largest cross-functional group run was 14, across product, engineering, data and clinical ops.
Hired engineers, designers and PMs across three products; grew two associate PMs into product owners. Quarterly growth conversations tied to shipped outcomes, not activity.
Live products with customers today, from Zoho CRM's developer platform (10M+ users) to Wrapd and the eight client builds still running for their owners.
Filter by role, stage or domain. Every card opens its product page.
Calls I made, what they cost, and what they returned. I would make each again.
Prove the matching with people paying their own money, then sell it to clinics and employers. The two B2B lines grew to 37% of ARR.
HIPAA and GDPR from day one. A slower start, but enterprise deals closed faster because there was nothing to retrofit.
Rebooking mattered more than sign-ups. Bundles and auto-renewals took recurring sessions from 23% to 31% and order value from $25 to $37.
Built for the GCC first, then reused the same platform for North America instead of a second build.
Quote, underwriting, payment and issuance in one flow with 20+ partners and 5+ banks. Six hours became 15 minutes and conversion rose 35%.
Clients pay for a pilot, we ship only once the outcome is proven. Prototype in days with real users, then the team scales it.
A product team is good when every roadmap item carries the revenue at stake, the evidence behind it and the metric that will prove it wrong. I say no with data, not opinion, and I expect PMs who work with me to ship something measurable every quarter and to kill their own bets when the numbers say so.
What a product director can expect, in order.
Twenty customer and stakeholder conversations, a read of the funnel, retention and revenue data, and an audit of the roadmap against evidence. Output: a one-page diagnosis of where value leaks and what the team believes that the data does not support.
Two or three bets with hypotheses, success metrics and kill criteria, agreed with engineering, sales and leadership. Discovery rituals, a prioritisation model the team can defend, and OKRs that connect squads to revenue.
First bet in market with a measured outcome, a weekly metrics review, release gates and a decision log. The team runs on a cadence: discover, decide, ship, measure, with the numbers visible to everyone.

I still run every step of the product cycle with the same people. What changed is how fast we get to something real. Flip it to see each step before and after.
Short quotes from a manager, an engineering lead and a co-founder or client. Names and titles make them count.
"Ashwin took a multi-quarter platform roadmap and turned it into epics the squads could ship and leadership could track. Stability went up, audit readiness went to 100%, and the escalations stopped."
Product leadership, Mastercard payments platforms"He writes the PRD, then sits with us until the trade-offs are clear. Decisions came with the data behind them, so engineering never had to guess why."
Engineering lead, Souqalmal"Ashwin turned a marketplace into a care system. The matching work changed our conversion and our retention in the same quarter. I would co-found with him again."
